Pettiness

A full moon softens up black skies
It does not matter where or why
Cause of this moon, cant fall asleep
Release my heart who d rather weep
I close my eyes. And feel...

cold wind rushed both us by
Where there were leaves
now fear lives
I ve never thought you let me go
We re bare.
Feelings we can t reclaim

And when the wind shall lose its strength
Exposed to our nothingness
that all the eyes can t see
Our vacant hearts shall be

Soon you ll forget the pettiness
And i ll smile off the impertinence
of "us"
So we can bear today.
With all the care it ever bore
Past won t be given worth no more
